The Reintroduction of Wolves in Colorado

Stoops Law Firm was founded on November 14, 2020, and our firm’s founding coincided with a pivotal moment in Colorado’s wildlife history. On November 3, 2020, Colorado voters passed Proposition 114, directing the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission to develop a plan to reintroduce gray wolves to the Western Slope by December 31, 2023. This initiative marked the return of wolves to Colorado after decades of absence.

On December 18, 2023, the first group of 5 gray wolves was successfully released onto public lands in Summit and Grand counties. This initial reintroduction was followed by the release of an additional 5 gray wolves in Grand and Summit Counties in late December 2023, as part of the ongoing efforts to restore the species to the State of Colorado.

Reflecting Our Mission and Values

In an era where some personal injury law firms call themselves “pre-litigation firms” and refuse to file lawsuits for their clients, Stoops Law Firms aims to reintroduce the fierce advocacy that injured plaintiffs deserve.
